PNR ParaNormal Romance - Review by Deborah MacGillivray:

12/30/08 - Eternal Seduction was given the PNR Staff Top Pick Award for December!

"Let me say up front, I am not a big vampire reader. I enjoy the occasional one here or there, such as I really love the wonderfully witty and funny ones by Lynsay Sands, Nina Bangs' Woo Woo Inn, and the late Dawn Thompson's Blood Moon series. So when I say newcomer Jennifer Turner really blew me away with her debut novel¯a vampire novel¯you know how strong of a storyteller Turner is. Based on this story, I expect more books from Turner soon, and I will be eagerly waiting to see how her talent grows.

For the past decade, Logan Ellis has lived a harsh life on the streets of New York. She's a figure alone from everything¯society, family, normal life¯and walks the dark underbelly of the ugly side of the uncaring city. To numb herself against this harshness she's been forced to endure, she's even turned to drugs as an escape, and now is addicted to heroin.

Kerestyan Nelek is the "enforcer" for the vampires, to make sure they keep the vampire lifestyle out of the eye of fearful humans. New vampires learning how to make their way in the human world must mind the Ps and Qs of the vampire codes, else they find Nelek there ready to deal punishment for these lapses in vampire laws. Over ten thousand years old he's seen a lot of life ¯vampire and human both. He is to mete out his justice away from the prying eyes of humans, keep their existence secret. Thus when Logan, bumming for a fix, stumbles down a dark alley, and witnesses Nelek dealing out fate to those who dared run afoul of the vamp code, he's forced to face a difficult situation. He knows Logan witnessed everything, knows he cannot let her go. She can either accept a role as a servant to the Nelek family or die.

Nelek is troubled by Logan's responses. Her beautiful, haunting eyes tell him of a past that has left deep scars. It's not long until Nelek wants to possess her, make her immortal, but before anything can be decided he will have to help her through kicking the addiction. Logan is unsure if she is strong enough to kick heroin and embraces Nelek and what he offers, or if death would be a better path¯no more pain in her life.

Eternal Seduction is a dark novel with strong characters. A true storyteller, Turner keeps a fast pace, seasoned well with wit, and offers you an electrifying pair in Nelek and Logan. A wonderful debut novel I highly recommend."

BittenbyBooks - Review by Megan: (5 TOMBSTONES!!)

"Logan Ellis has lived on the streets in New York City for the last ten years. To cope with her past she has become addicted to heroin. She has no friends or family and keeps herself closed off to protect herself.

Kerestyan Nelek is a 10,000 year old vampire and Lord of New York. His job is to make sure the other vampires and their fledglings are behaving. They must stay out of site of humans or deal with his punishments.

Logan is on her way to get her heroin fix and finds three vampires fighting in the ally. Oddly that does not disturb her but having them magically disappear by one man does. Kerestyan knows that Logan has seen too much so he takes her home. He gives her the choice of death or asking his father to allow her to become a Servio or servant to the Nelek family.

Kerestyan knows that there is something behind the vacant looking eyes of Logan. She has been through something traumatic in her past and he wants to help her but at the same time he wants to take her over. She would become immortal and have blood powers similar to her sire. Before a decision can be made about her future, she must go through withdrawals from the heroin. Logan just is not sure which is worse. The withdrawals or the thought of not seeing this beautiful man with fangs. Is he worth the pain or does she want to continue to be numb?

Eternal Seduction is one of the best books I have read this year. Jennifer Turner writes similar to JR Ward with the fast paced story and vibrant characters. Do not drink anything while reading this book. With all the laughing it is bound to come out of your nose. Between Odin losing his tongue all the time and not reacting to it and Logan well, being Logan, you can hardly breathe let alone drink."

PNR ParaNormal Romance - Review by Nancy Eriksen:

"For over ten years, Logan Ellis had lived in the alleys of New York City. Not the Plaza area, the boxes filled with rags area. She has seen things she probably shouldn't and definitely done the same. She is also a heroin addict. She was watching three vampires fight in her alley when they are all killed, and she turns to see a very handsome vampire watching her. She has no idea how bad her situation has just become because he is Kerestyan Nelek, the Lord of the City and she has seen vampires.

Kerestyan gives her a choice: die or become his prisoner until something can be done about her memory. She finds herself in his apartment with a leather-wearing look-alike who happens to be Kerestyan's twin brother - Odin. THE Odin. A wry sense of humor, rude, Odin christens her Bones and Bones she stays. She and the Lord become closer as the days go on. Then the Ultimate happens - his Father, over 20,000 years old, summons Logan. One small catch, she must be clean - no drugs.

This story read quickly. The action and passion never stop. The end came much too soon and was a total surprise. Great job, Ms. Turner. Keep 'em coming!"

Coffee Time Romance - Review by Delane: (5 CUPS!!)

"Logan Ellis has been kicked around by life but, with a little chemical assistance, she feels no need to care. She knows vampires exist but after her initial attempt to report them, she gave up. Logan spends her nights roaming the streets finding easy marks to purse snatch. She uses the money to buy her next high. While on her way to her next drug deal, she encounters vampires fighting in the alley. The chance encounter brings her to the attention of the New York Vampire Lord Kerestyan Nelek.

After thousands of years, Kerestyan has met the one woman who he is unable to walk away from. As the Lord of New York City, he is responsible for cleaning up situations caused by fledgling vampires. The sentence Kerestyan should have immediately given to Logan is death, as she knows too much. When he finds himself intrigued and ensnared in the wonder of Logan and her I-do-not-care attitude, he knows he must take her home since he is unable to kill her.

Kerestyn and Logan must fight together to prove Logan is worth more dead than she is alive. Logan has caught the attention of an ancient vampire who wants to test her worthiness to the vampire world. Beneath the seemingly chance meeting there has been a plan; Logan and Kerestyan are just pawns in a sinister game, but no one knows who is the master.

Jennifer Turner is a fabulous author who is a true master of providing an entertaining tale, which enthralls the reader. Logan is a unique personality with a very nonchalant attitude in the face of the undead and provided a unique spin. Kerestyn is the complete opposite of the traditional vampire persona and makes you cheer for him. The dialogue between the characters was hilarious and made me laugh out loud several times. The story is a rollicking good time; it runs the readers through an emotional gauntlet. Jennifer Turner has an incredible ability to ensnare the audience and keep them interested to see what will happen next. I can not wait to read the next book in the Darkness Within series."
